Christmas Hampers

Community Christmas Hamper Program

For several years now, ALL has organized and facilitated a community-based Christmas hamper program which serves people in need in the East St. Paul and St. Clement municipalities, northeast of Winnipeg.

Contributions, donations and volunteer help come from members and friends of ALL, local schools, groups, businesses and individuals. Over 65 hampers were filled and distributed in 2019.

I am contacting you on behalf of Abundant Life Lutheran Church and the communities of East St. Paul, West St. Paul, St. Clements, and West Springfield to invite your participation in this year’s Community Christmas Hamper Program.  Thank you once again for your generous support in the past.

We are beginning to plan for our 10th year in this valuable community service.  Last year we delivered almost 70 hampers to the area.  Due to the tremendous support of our community and service clubs we were able to meet the needs of the communities outside of Winnipeg who are not covered by the Christmas Cheer Board.

Due to the pandemic, we will only be accepting cash donations this year. The goal for 2020 is to provide gift card hampers in the areas north of Winnipeg.  We will use the cash donations to purchase gift cards at local businesses to create a gift card hamper for each family.

Deadline for contributions is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11th.  We will then complete the hampers by purchasing the appropriate gift cards and mailing them out to the recipients by December 14th.

We will be receiving names from the Christmas Cheer Board, Municipal offices north of Winnipeg or directly from those who need a hand this year.

Thank you for considering our request.

Kind regards,

Charla Turner
