Abundant Life

The Abundant Life Lutheran Logo is both a Cross and a Star that radiates the abundant life and light of Jesus Christ to the world. If you look closely you will also note that it is a stylized “AL” all around the circle, standing for Abundant Life.

Location
Abundant Life is in the municipality of East St. Paul, just north of Winnipeg’s Perimeter Highway. The church is located at the intersection of Rebeck, Raleigh and Bird’s Hill Road. You will find plenty of space for parking.

Accessibility
The building is completely wheelchair accessible.

Abundant Life is the newest mission congregation of the Manitoba Northwestern Ontario Synod (MNO) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). Begun as a mission development initiative by the MNO Synod and Sherwood Park Lutheran Church in Winnipeg, the mission was incorporated as a congregation in the fall of 2001 under the name of Abundant Life. The construction of a new church building was completed in August, 2006. On October 29, 2006 the congregation celebrated with a Dedication Service and reception.

In September 2009 ALL celebrated an anniversary. We marked 10 years since the first worship service was held in the gym at Robert Andrews School—10 years of sharing the good news.

In Full Communion with Anglicans
Since 2001, the ELCIC has been in full communion with the Anglican Church of Canada. This means that we welcome each other at Holy Communion, members of either church can transfer membership to the other where their own denomination may not have a congregation, and clergy are transferable and able to serve in either denomination. Opportunities for joint worship, service projects or social activities are also considerable.

ALL enjoys a warm and collegial relationship with our neighbour St. Catherine Anglican Church in Birds Hill.
