Community Garden: We are in process of developing some of the land beside the church for a community garden. Interested people work the garden while harvest and proceeds are shared between ALL and missions such as Winnipeg Harvest. This year we hope to have some NEST families involved in growing their own vegetables.
MOVE (Ministry/mobilization Of Volunteer Energy) Teams organize for various prep and assisting roles in worship and coffee fellowship each week. Currently two MOVE teams alternate monthly. People sign up for tasks.
Working committees of the congregation include: Worship, Community Service, Outreach Mission, Property, Youth, Stewardship, Christian Education, Mutual Ministry and Nominating.
Core Leadership Team: A 6-member elected congregational council provides leadership and visioning.
Meal Teams cook, serve and clean up at Lutheran Urban Ministry once a month. LUM is an inner-city ministry working out of St. Matthew’s Maryland Ministry and currently serves about 100 meals twice a week.
ALL also lends support to NEST (an ecumenical refugee sponsorship organization) with board representation.
